To install just unzip and run the batch file. Then add
the HextoDec.exe file to your windows95 menu. Remember
HextoDec will only run under Windows95.

Thanks for downloading and trying HextoDec. There is some
help support available at runtime in the form based dialog,
but here is a little more help. HextoDec is a form based
application that is intended to be a programmers helper.
Anytime you need to know the Hex, Decimal, or Binary value
of a number you can use the simple application to translate
it for you. I wrote the program because there's been a lot
of times when I was working on a project that I needed to
know the hex or binary value of a number I was working with.
Previously, the only alternative I had was to find one of
my books that had the right info. and then puzzle out the
answer with my hand calculator. Now, I don't have to do that
anymore. And neither do you. HextoDec will run minimized at
the bottom of your program. So if you've got your compiler
running or are editing Gif files or something else like that
you can translate numbers just by popping up the dialog box.
The controls for the box are self explanatory. The don'ts of
the dialog box are don't enter more than an 8 digit value.
Sometimes the answer will be more than 8 digits long, for
instance if you translate Hex FFFFFFFF to Decimal. Thats about
16 to the eighth power and will be about 12 digits or so.
That will work ok. Don't enter illegal characters, any dummy
should be able to figure that one out. When converting Bin to
either Hex or Dec, remember its got to be all ones and zeros.
1's and 0's that is! The program is about crash proof, but
if you keep entering idiot values you can crash it sooner or
later. Just dont try if your working on something important.
If you keep and use HextoDec, I wish you'd send the $5.00
