			     ROLO V. 1.1

DESCRIPTION

Rolo is a freeware Windows rolodex intended to provide a simple cardfile
capability compatible with UNIX XRolo databases. Data is stored in ASCII
files which may be manipulated with standard Windows utilities. UNIX-formatted
XRolo files may be imported or exported. Supported features include toolbar
commands, drag 'n drop, resizeable window, printing, importing/exporting
XRolo files and standard Windows help. A manual is included in the MS Write
format.

INSTALLATION

Rolo is normally distributed as the compressed file, rolo11.zip. This file
may may be uncompressed through the use of pkunzip.exe, winzip.exe or a
similar utility. For example, pkunzip may be used by using the Windows File
Manager to change to the directory containing rolo11.zip, selecting the
File/Run... command and typing:

	pkunzip.exe rolo11.zip

(assuming pkunzip.exe is in your path). Click on OK. This will result in the
following files being deposited in the current directory:

	rolo.exe
	rolo.hlp
	bwcc.dll
	rolo.wri
	bbs.txt
	readme.txt

Before rolo.exe can be run, the file bwcc.dll must be installed in the Windows
system directory. Ordinarily this is located at c:/windows/system, but it may
be in a different location on your system. If a copy of bwcc.dll already exists
in your Windows system directory, this step is not necessary.

First use the Windows File Manager to change to the directory containing the
Rolo files. Click on bwcc.dll in the files window, and then select the
File/Copy command. Enter

	c:/windows/system

in the To: box, and click on OK. This will place a copy of bwcc.dll in the
Windows system directory.
