Hi. You can see the network device specific collisions e.g. from the proc file system (at least with kernels 2.0.34 and 2.1.105). Try yours - just 'cat /proc/net/dev' . I do not know how you could get notices with time-stamps, though... Mabye there is some kind of hack/patch lying somewhere just waiting for to be found ? :*) Cheers !
