Description of Working Group:

The POP working group is chartered to survey existing POP
implementations and determine how well implementations match the
specification in RFC 1225.  Based on this survey, determine what
clarifications need to be made to the specification and also what
additional features or simplifications are warranted.

The scope of the working group focuses only on POP 3.  Work on other
mailbox access protocols are not within the charter of this working
group.

 Goals and Milestones:

   MAR 92       Review the final version of the Internet Draft and 
                recommend it's publication as a Proposed or Draft Standard, 
                depending on the amount of changes required. 

   NOV 92       Review and Approved the charter. Begin Survey of existing 
                implementations and compare them against RFC 1225 for 
                implementation and operational experience. 

   DEC 92       Post an revison of the POP as an Internet Draft if needed.
