Withdrawn ECMA standards are not included, but could be at some later date if data can be found for them.
ECMA was founded in May 1961 as the European Computer Manufacturers Association, with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, near ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) and IEC (the International Electrotechnical Commission). The name was changed in 1994 to ECMA: European Association for Standardizing Information and Communication Systems. For details of the history of ECMA, visit Web location

Unlike the often-costly ANSI and ISO standards, ECMA standards are freely available.
